A "trademark assignment" is a contract transferring (assigning) ownership of a trademark to a third party. The terms of the trademark assignment will typically cover the consideration for the assignment; representations and warranties of the assignor (including representations as to ownership of the trademark); and a resolution mechanism to resolve any disputes under the trademark assignment.
