The Web makes it easy to convert dollars to foreign currencies and vice versa.
On Google, you can simply type a query, such as "$2 to pounds" or "10 euros to dollars" into the search bar and get your answer. This works for most major currencies.
For more detailed information and less common currencies, go to a foreign exchange site such as www.oanda.com. Oanda’s FX converter lets you see exchange rates for today or any prior date or period of time, which is handy when you get home and want to check your credit card statement. You can choose to convert at the wholesale interbank rate, or at a typical credit card rate such as the interbank rate plus 2 percent.
