The term "cum dividend" refers to the buyer of a share of stock who is entitled to the next dividend payment. The buyer of the stock is entitled to receive the next declared dividend payment, as opposed to the seller of the stock. Cum dividend is referred to as "with dividend." It is the opposite of "ex-dividend" where the seller of a stock is entitled to the currently declared dividend payment.
